HOTSWAP Program

Traditionally, in order to purchase a PLUG ‘n PLAY (PNP) Dr X Kit, customers would have to send in their OEM taillight for the Dr X Kit modification. This leads downtime for your bike and increased shipping costs for reduced transit time.

The HOTSWAP PROGRAM has been set-up to enable ZERO DOWNTIME when purchasing a PLUG ‘n PLAY (PNP) DR. X Kit. The program is essentially an exchange service where VFX ships a modified Dr X taillight to the customer first and the customer has the option to return their OEM taillight for credit on a deposit.

There are no extra costs to the customer for participation in the program once HOTSWAP is successfully completed.

(including Hawaii & Alaska)

HOW DOES IT WORK?

• VFX ships you a PLUG ‘n PLAY DR. X Kit LED Assembly immediately; you are charged for the cost of the Dr X Kit PNP + a deposit equivalent to the cost of the OEM taillight

• AFTER installation of the Dr X Kit PNP, the customer has the option to ship us their OEM LED taillights for full reimbursement of the deposit (return shipment can be made using the same VFX box and packing materials - return shipping instructions included with kit); return shipping to VFX paid by customer

• Once received, each taillight is inspected for a PASS or FAIL (see Qualification Criteria)

• Deposit is fully reimbursed for passing taillights. Owners of failed taillights are contacted for notification (return shipping charged to customer)

In order to keep a steady flow of HOTSWAP taillights, OEM taillights must be received within 3-4 weeks of initial shipment from VFX - a 25% surcharge applies for late returns. Taillights received after 6 weeks may be disqualified from the program.
