Hotswap Qualification Criteria

The Hotswap Program has been a great success due in part to the qualification criteria required for each taillight.  Taillights must meet the following conditions for Hotswap: 

1. OEM LED Taillights must not have any cracks and/or scratches on the LENS

2. LENS must be free of major stone chips and excessive yellow discoloration (certain models with aftermarket under seat exhausts tend to discolor rapidly i.e. CBR600RR/1000RR; in most cases the yellow tint can be removed with Windex)

3. OEM Wire harness/connectors must be intact with taillight and unmodified

4. There are NO anti-theft markings, engravings and/or stickers on the lens or body of the taillight

If you feel your taillight does not qualify for the HOTSWAP Program, VFX technicians can perform the DR. X kit surgery on your taillight and return it to you.
