Installation Instructions

PIVOT KIT R1 INSTALLATION

1. Remove rear fairing & unscrew OEM Fender/plate Assembly ‘I’ & ‘J’; (refer to Dr X Kit R1 PDF installation manuals for detailed images of rear fairing removal)

2. Unplug bullet connectors for OEM license plate light;

3. Feed Pivot Kit R1 wires through undertail & connect bullets;

4. Fasten Pivot Kit R1 with hardware ‘I’, ‘J’; Use rubber washers 'W' & 'Y' to remove play in faring - mount underneath head of collar 'I';

5. Mount Plate with ‘F’ & ‘G’; Adjust where desired;

6. Program according to PIVOT KIT R1 RIP Manual (VFX Doc. PKR1-202-RIP;

7. Hex Key provided (5/32”) for quick preload adjustability of pivot mounts ‘C’. If ON-THE-FLY control is not desired, apply full preload.

PIVOT KIT R1 – TURN SIGNAL BRACKET INSTALLATION

Turn Signal Brackets are a great way to add sleek short stalks to your PIVOT KIT R6. The brackets are modular in design and simply replace the standard brackets on the kit. Most aftermarket short stalks are fully compatible with the brackets (Max Stud Diameter 0.394” or 10 mm). Check out our selection of turn signal short stalks – fully compatible with all PIVOT KITs.
 

8. Unscrew Standard Plate Brackets (both sides);

9. Assemble support rod onto turn signal brackets using screws ‘N’; mount turn signal brackets assembly onto PIVOT KIT R1 with original hardware (maintain hardware order);

10. Feed turn signal wires through center hole provided (drilling into fairing required)

11. Remount plate;

12. Mount Turn Signals onto bracket;

13. Tighten all screws to lock into position
