Send In Your Taillight - CSI

The CSI (Customer Sent in Taillight) option is ideal for customers who feel their taillight does not qualify for the HOTSWAP PROGRAM or customers who prefer to have the Dr X Kit modification performed on their specific taillight.

Typical turn around for the modification is 2-4 days from the time the taillight is received at VFX. Online payment can be made before sending the taillight or once the taillight is received at VFX (payment can also be made by obtaining the customer charge card info by telephone)

VFX recommends the following steps for safe shipment:

• Wrap and package the OEM taillight in a cardboard box (do not use a padded envelope)

• Include your name and contact information INSIDE (in case the information on the box is removed during transit; include your full name, return shipping address, daytime telephone number and email - do not include credit card info!)

• Clearly mark both the destination address and sender address on the box – we recommend using a thick marker (permanent)

• If using a return shipping label, use plenty of packing tape to adhere to box

• VFX recommends insuring shipment for equivalent OEM Taillight Value. Do not insure for more, as there may be surcharges. Click here for recommended coverage values

Taillights from USA (includes Hawaii, Alaska & Military APO's)

When using courier services such as UPS or FEDEX for packages from the USA, they may be subject to additional customs brokerage fees and/or taxes. To avoid these surcharges, all shipments from the USA must be shipped via the US Postal Service (USPS) – shipping cost covers all fees.

There are a variety of services offered from standard services ($4 - $5, no tracking) to expedited services ($10 and higher). We recommend using >> Global Priority Mail - GPM Expedited Service (4-6 day delivery with tracking and confirmation). A standard HOTSWAP package of 10” x 8” x 8” and 1-2 pounds yields a shipping charge of approx $15 with GPM service.

A brief declaration form must also be filled out for customs purposes (PS Form 2976) indicating:

• Value for declaration >> see chart

• Description >> TAILLIGHT

• Reason for shipment >> Check the OTHER box and indicate RETURN

• Origin and destination addresses

Taillights from CANADA

There are no restrictions on shipping carriers when shipping in Canada. We recommend using >> Canadapost for timely and economical service.

Taillights from other countries (International)

International customers sending in their taillight may be subject to import tariffs (no free trade). International customers who wish to purchase the Dr X Kit PNP, VFX recommends purchasing the PNP kit with a NEW OEM taillight - alternatively international customers may purchase the Dr X Kit DIY option (one way trip).
