Most of the aftermarket clear taillights offered for the 2003/04 GSX-R 1000 are inferior in quality due to poor molds and materials. In our opinion the best way to obtain a quality clear lens look is to maintain the OEM housing and internal chrome reflector and simply change the outer lens (cheaper too!).
VFX has teamed up with automotive mold experts to fabricate an exact replica of the OEM outer lens with clear plastic or PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate); same material used for OEM lens. The result is a clear lens with superior strength and clarity - the best we've seen.
