PNP with or without INNER Lens?
Customers purchasing the Dr X Kit 2004/05 Yamaha R1 X-treme PNP (Hotswap, CSI or New Taillight) have the option of purchasing the kit with the INNER LENS removed or intact (when adding item to cart). Customers purchasing the Dr X Kit 2004/05 Yamaha R1 X-treme DIY can decide which way to proceed during their installation.
The purpose of the INNER Lens is to spread/diffuse the light from each individual RED LED to prevent saturation. In order for the INNER Lens to work effectively, RED LED positions must be maintain as per the OEM positions. Displacing the RED LEDs even slightly will compromise the amount of light that is directed rearward (reducing visible intensity and performance). The Dr X Kit 2004/05 Yamaha R1 X-treme has been engineered to work WITH or WITHOUT the INNER Lens. For sharper and clearer animations VFX recommends removing the INNER Lens ... see demonstrations for real-time previews.
