Q1 What types of signals can the Running Light FX kit work on?

A1 The Running Light FX kit works on all standard LED or filament signals.

Q2 Why do I need this kit?

A2 Almost all aftermarket signals are supplied with only a single operating intensity (2-wires instead of 3).  Without the third wire, the signals are incapable of offering the running light feature.

Q3 Will the module also correct for 'fast flash' or 'no flash' I am experiencing?

A3 YES.  The Running Light FX kit has built-in DOT Flash Rate control.  Each module can either output the DOT flash rate (overriding the bike's flash rate) or be calibrated/synchronized to bike's flash rate.

Only the signals that are connected the the Running Light FX kit can be corrected for 'fast flash'.  To correct the flash rate for all your signals, VFX recommends the Universal Flasher Relay or the Flash Equalizer PRO.

Q4 One kit is all I need per pair of signals?

A4 YES.  Each kit contains 2 modules - one module for each signal. 

Q5 Can I use the Running Light FX kit on my rear signals?

A5 YES, the Running Light FX kit can also be used on your rear STANDALONE signals (not integrated into the taillight).  The kit will add adjustable Running Light intensity and Signal Animations to your rear signals.  If your rear signals are yellow, VFX recommends turning the running light intensity to Full OFF.

Q6 Can I hook up multiple signals to one module?

A6 YES.  The output of each module is rated to 3 AMPS MAX.  You can connect as many signals (in parallel) to each module as long as this rating is not exceeded.  All signals hooked up to a particular module will operate together.

Q7 Will this kit will work on all bikes?

A7 YES.  The Running Light FX kit has been designed and tested on all major brands (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley Davidson).
