Dr X Kit X-treme 2007/08 Yamaha R1 DIY >> Do-It-Yourself (MSRP $195)
The Dr X Kit X-treme 2007+ Yamaha R1 DIY requires the installer to perform the plastic surgery on their OEM taillight by cutting it open (Dremel tool recommended), replacing the internal board with the Dr X Kit X-treme board assembly and resealing the taillight.
The Dr X Kit X-treme 2007+ R1 DIY comes complete with industry leading step-by-step color installation instructions (see installation manual), Dremel cutting blades, custom VFX Plastic Adhesive (VPAD-010) for resealing the taillight and miscellaneous hardware (various tie-wraps, rubber bands, heatshrink, etc). The only thing we haven't included in the kit is the little robot to do the surgery for you! The Dr X Kit X-treme 2007+ R1 DIY offers a cost effective solution and insight into the electronics of the kit - very rewarding when completed.
The VFX Universal Flasher Relay is also included with each kit to resolve issues with non-DOT flash rates >> encountered when integrating, removing and/or replacing the stock signals. The Universal Flasher Relay easily replaces the stock flasher relay with plug 'n play convenience.
